Well, if you are not deeply rooted in the world of infertility, you probably have not had the opportunity to listen to a song by Kellie Coffey called "I Would Die For That". It has become the unofficial theme song for those going through infertility. I decided to use that song as an inspiration for my weight loss. When I think about wanting to be healthy, I WILL diet for that. I think about the day I can put on pants that are a size less than what I am wearing now...I WILL diet for that. I think about the day when John can put his arms around me and hold me closer because I've lost weight...I WILL diet for that. I think about trying to get pregnant and not having the cloud of being overweight over my head...I WILL diet for that.
I invite you to listen to the song that summarizes my desires to be a mother. The song can be heard in a music video which is on You Tube:

Today was a decent day, despite last nights' Buckeye loss to LSU. While I haven't hit the gym just yet this week, I did start today to write down what I've eaten. I've contemplated putting my journal online, but that is something I won't bore others with. Having my food intake on paper has helped me in the past to watch what I am eating, so I will be sure to have my journal nearby any time I put food to my mouth (as my former WW leader would say..."If you bite it, write it"). Come to think of it, I might actually get a new journal at WW this Thursday to start the new year and the road to a new me. We'll see.
The response to my blog has been more than I anticipated. My good friend Lori sent me a message this morning to let me know that she wants to go to WW with me. Everyone who has read my blog thus far has left really nice comments, and even those who have read my blog but haven't left comments have e-mailed me. Thank you for your support. I know that I can do it, but I also know that I am going to need your help each and every step of the way.

You can do it!! I decided to lose weight after my second IVF and I was able to lose 20 pounds before ivf 3 and it worked. WW worked wonders for me so DEF try it. I will be here for you!
Welcome to blogger world! I love the name of your blog and got is Right away!
okay - when I did weight watchers I actually tried to cheat by not writing down everything I ate and also undercalculating points. What an idiot - it suddenly hit me that the only one I was cheating was myself. Also, I sometimes am waaaay more into "quantity" than "quality". I want LOTS of food. Here's one lifesaver that worked for me and I still eat sometimes cause it is alot of food and around 3 points I think. A 3 eggwhite omelet stuffed full of steamed spinach (or whatever veggies you like) with 2 or 3 slices of Kraft fat-free cheddar cheese slices on top before you fold the eggs over the top. The cheese melts fast so doesn't need much heat after you add it. Pepperidge Farm makes a bread called "Very Thin" in either white or wheat which is really good. It is real bread (not strange tasting like some of the low carb or calorie breads out there) and is only 35 calories per slice. It is sliced very thin as the name implies but you can eat 3 slices with jam and it is yummy. Just little tidbits that helped me.
I'm so happy that Lori wants to do WW with you. I know first hand how helpful it is to have a friend there, even though my "friend" drank all her points! :) Oh well! And you're doing great with the start slow approach. Work on the food changes and then move to the exercise. You'll probably have more success and won't be overwhelmed!
Oops! I thought your blog was "I would die for that." I'll have to change that!
Anyway, good luck with the weight loss journey. I think everything down is a great start! It helps keep you accountable. Sounds like you're in a great mindset!
you can do it, girl! I can't wait to read about your progress!!
Just watched the video. Tears running down my face. I love you guys.
OK---how do I blog respond/reply??? Oh, well, I'll try it. Kristen---as you already know, I will support you in whatever you try. But this is especially important. Not just for the IVF, but for your health for life. I will be here for you whenever you need someone to talk to, some one to listen to, or someone to share a mini carrot or piece of tree bark. In essence---whatever it takes. I love you!
