We got the call this morning that Grandma Mullally, John's grandmother, died. We knew it was coming, but it does not make it any easier. Last Thursday John's mom called to say Grandma was being brought from the rehabilitation center back to the hospital. Friday we were called and told to get to Cleveland to say our goodbyes. We arrived Saturday night and over the next two days visited Grandma in the SICU. Leaving her bedside at 8 PM on Monday night was a very difficult thing to do...we didn't want to leave her knowing that would be the last time we saw her alive.
Here is Grandma...four years ago tomorrow (our 4th wedding anniversary)...
The calling hours are this Friday and the funeral is Saturday. We will probably head up tomorrow (Thursday) night with Kelli and Colleen, his sisters, who are flying in tomorrow from Phoenix, AZ.
It will be a tough weekend, so please say a prayer for our family.
